Today Marco, Cristina, Stephanie and I went to Mexico beach for Steph's 24th birthday. We stayed at this little place right on the beach called the Driftwood Inn. The most interesting thing about the place was that the town was split into two different time zones. As we drove down the road our cell phones would automatically update, an hour forward, an hour back. We mused on what it must be like to live on one side and work on the other. After a brief pit stop in the local fill
station, avid blog reader Marco bought me a pack of Fruit Stripes gum. (You'll notice the reference to an earlier post if you're clever.) We headed out to Toucan's for an early lunch and some refreshments and then it was off to the beach. The water was gorgeously warm. We spent the entire afternoon lounging in the sun and hydrating. Brief bouts of whiffle bat baseball and noodle floating ensued, but mostly we let ourselves be tossed about by breaking waves and slowly baking in the oven like sun. Another trip to Toucans brought more fried food and pretty terrible service, but the entire day was a relaxing and an appropriate way to spend our second to last weekend in Florida.Girls make silly faces.
Guys can make silly faces too!
